Moving on up...

I moved into Signposts in August 2012 after being homeless.  Things were difficult and at first I kept myself to myself, but after a while I started making friends and being more sociable.  With many difficulties, it took 9 months to move from stage 1 to stage 2.  Being more independent was great and being able to cook for myself was awesome and alongside college and other hobbies, EVERYTHING seemed to work well.
Although there were still rocky days, with support from clients and staff I got through them.  I’ve been living at stage 2 for 12 months now, and although things haven’t always been great I’m going miss the hostel and everyone in it.  I start my new job as an activity instructor with my induction in Newcastle.  This is a great opportunity for me to do something I love.
I just want to say goodbye and thank you to everyone who has helped me and an impact in my life.  And special thanks to all the staff, Bev and Katy for helping me become a better person.  The person who I want to be.
